How are week numbers calculated?
Our calendars use the ISO-8601 standard. The first week of the year is the week containing the first Thursday of the year — so Week 1 always includes January 4th.
What's the difference between Monday-start and Sunday-start calendars?
Monday-start calendars (common in Europe) begin on Monday and end on Sunday. Sunday-start (common in the US) runs Sunday–Saturday. Our calendars use the Monday-start format.
